Tech Squad A new JT club for the inner techie in all of us!

Starting Winter Session 2009, Junior Theatre will have a new club for all students interested in the technical side of Theatre. Students will meet once a month for workshops in Lighting, Sound, Scenic Design and Costuming led by Junior Theatre’s Technical Director, Cynthia Bloodgood, as well as guest lecturers from the San Diego Theatrical community. Then put all of that knowledge to good use as The Tech Squad will get hands on experience with set and costume construction and load-ins for the Junior Theatre Main Stage Season. Club members will also receive special consideration for upper level crew positions throughout the year. Interested students must be at least 11 years old and enrolled in a Winter Session Class. The Tech Squad will run through the end of Season 2008-2009 and the opening of Les Miserables. The club will meet from 9-11am on Saturdays in the Casa del Prado Theatre, January 17, February 28, March 14, April 18, May 9, June 20, July 18 and August 9, 2009. Call the JT Office to learn more.

Confetti For students in grades 10-12.

Confetti is for students entering 10th through 12th grades. This club is a community-service based club. Many students who participate in Confetti throughout the year also participate in our main stage productions. This group meets every other Saturday. The commitment for Confetti lasts the entire school year.
